Personal Philosophy in my Practice:
I love to bridge the gap between allopathic medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In blending the two, I get to help people get back in balance from illness, injury, or chronic
conditions. I was introduced to Oriental Medicine in 2002 from my doctors at San Francisco General Hospital, San Francisco, CA. I was in full organ failure and it was the “last ditch effort” for a chance to live more than 6 months. A year and a half later, I was no longer in organ failure or on any of the medications that had become a staple in my life. I regained my life bit by bit with
every visit to that little community clinic in the Mission district. Not only did I receive
acupuncture three times a week, I learned about my diet, exercise, mental health, qi gong,
reconnecting and finding the new me in my life. This was the first time a medical professional
had incorporated and consistently affirmed the importance of these aspects in my life.
Not everyone needs, or can use, the same treatments, herbs, or medications. In traditional
Chinese medicine there is no idiopathic. There is a reason, there is a pattern, and there is a way
back to some semblance of balance. This is my life. I have been given a second chance in life and I choose everyday to give back.
